SMR Performance, the UK’s BMW Motorrad Motorsport Official Partner has stepped in to support Superstock 1000 star, Scott Swann. The move comes at a critical mid-point in the season and aims to equip Swann with the bike and the race support needed to effectively mount the rest of his championship challenge. Swann will ride an SMR Performance prepared and supported BMW M 1000 RR for the remainder of the 2026 National Superstock 1000 season, starting this weekend at Oulton Park. Scott’s current portfolio of personal sponsors, including his title supporter, Rosewood Bespoke Joinery, remain in place.
Scott Swann currently sits a very close 5th in the championship having run his own private family team up to this point, on a bike purchased at the very last minute by his personal sponsors. With a win and a podium at Knockhill, Swann has demonstrated his potential but would be the first to admit that running a private team has its challenges when racing at this level. Now riding a fully supported SMR Performance BMW, Scott has his sights firmly fixed on the 2026 title.

Scott Swann said: “We’ve had a challenging year so far, having started so late with our own private team, effectively working out of the back of a van with my Dad, from literally days before the first race. But, I’m pleased with what we’ve achieved despite the challenges and when the call came in from Shaun to ride a BMW for him, I was super-excited. SMR has invested in me for the rest of the 2026 season and with the very best bike combined with the levels of support required to run it, I’m confident that I can mount a serious second half championship challenge. I’ve ridden the bike already and it felt great from the very first laps. Now we need to get our heads down and build from here.
